Birmingham Botanical Gardens
A garden for all the family. Birmingham Botanical Gardens are an oasis of delightful gardens, peace and tranquillity, just one mile from the City Centre. Opened in 1832, these historic Gardens are an educational charity, offering a fascinating plant collection and excellent facilities for all the family to enjoy.
Four stunning glasshouses filled with exotic plants take you from tropical rainforest to arid desert. Beyond, fifteen acres of beautiful landscaped gardens offer sunny lawns and collections of roses, alpines, perennials, rare trees and shrubs, ideal for picnics and exploring every day of the year.
The many attractions include adventure playgrounds, children’s discovery garden, art gallery, tearoom, shop, a very successful corporate entertainment venue and a collection of birds from all over the world.
A fascinating programme of events offers flower shows, family fun days, theatre, music and art to all who visit. The Gardens provide courses, leisure learning, interpretation and fun activities suitable for every visitor.
