Getting to Edgbaston, Birmingham

Right in the center of England, well-connected by road, rail and air, Birmingham is at the heart of country’s motorway network with easy access to the M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42 while the A34 and A38 further add to your options and the M1 is less than 30 minutes away.

By car

Approaching from the north west or south east along the M6, leave at Junction 6 (sign posted Birmingham Central) to join the A38 (M). At the end of the motorway, keep to the right; go over a flyover, then through some underpasses to join the A38 Bristol Road.  
Approaching from the M42 north leave at Junction 8 to join the M6 northbound to join the A38 (M). At the end of the motorway, keep to the right; go over a flyover, then through some underpasses to join the A38 Bristol Road.<br/><br/>

Most cross-country services to Birmingham arrive at New Street Station. Up to six trains an hour depart for the University Station and Five Ways Station on the cross-city line. <br/><br/>
The Midland Metro serves 23 stops and    operates from Wolverhampton to Birmingham City Centre where bus or train connections available to both the University Station and Five Ways Station.

There are frequent express coach services to Birmingham from London, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, and many UK cities. The long-distance coach station is in Digbeth in the city centre. 
Digbeth coach station is a short walk from New Street train station. There are regular bus services to the University and Five Ways stations in Edgbaston.
